Dedicated San Marcos Community Leader

Family Alt wider.png

I’m a longtime San Marcos resident, mom of three, and community volunteer, and I’m running for San Marcos City Council because I’m all in on San Marcos. I believe that when we live in a community, we should truly be part of it - showing up, listening, and helping it succeed.

San Marcos is growing, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility. The choices we make right now will shape our neighborhoods, traffic, safety, and quality of life for years to come. I’m running because I’m already doing the work. I spend my time out in the community, listening to neighbors, working side by side with residents and local partners, and helping guide practical solutions that make sense for the people who live here today.

That belief in being present and engaged is why I serve as President of the San Elijo Hills Community Association, founded our local Fire Safe Council, and serve as a Planning Commissioner (alt) for the City of San Marcos. As our City continues to change, we need leadership that understands neighborhoods from the inside out. That’s the perspective I bring, shaped by years of showing up and doing the work locally.

I like to lead by example, work side by side with others, and focus on practical solutions that make a real difference in the quality of life in our City. I don’t lead from behind a desk, I’m out in the community, listening, learning, and doing the work day in and day out.

I’m not just involved in San Marcos as a community leader, I’m here as a mom, too. I volunteer in our local schools, help lead major school and community fundraisers, and work alongside other parents on efforts that strengthen our broader community. I spend my days navigating the same things families do across San Marcos: traffic and congestion, safe routes for kids and teens, access to activities and jobs, and making sure young people can move around the city safely and independently.

Living this life alongside other families keeps me focused on what really matters at a citywide level: safe streets, reliable youth transportation options, thoughtful planning, and a San Marcos that works for families as our city continues to grow.

Yes! I'd like to join Team Lindsey
